We love doing baptisms. Baptism is a statement of faith in Jesus Christ—verbally (in what is promised) and visually (by the splashing of water).
We baptise to encourage one another in faith, not faith in the 'sacrament', but faith in God's promises to us. It is a long-standing Christian custom which any person who professes faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour and has at least a basic understanding of the Christian faith can take part in.
At Lower Mountains Anglican, when baptising adults, we only baptise members of our church family.
